Returning Soon

Yes, we are for real working on re-launching the comic.

After many re-writes, we’ve decided to stick with the strip format. It will also be a story driven comic, as opposed to the traditional “gag a day” kind. We want to make the comic the best it can be and with the most frequent update schedule we can muster. I’ll keep you posted!

This is a taste of Chris’s art. Chris Rangel is the cool guy that has taken the reigns as artist for Space Waffles. He also runs the best comic shop ever, The Comic Stop, and is an organizer for the best comic convention ever, Emerald City ComiCon. So yeah, he’s pretty much the man.

blog...

Well that was interesting…

So I’m at work sitting in my cubicle when I suddenly hear what sounded like a marching band.

Justin, a sales rep that sits accross from me jumps out of his chair to check what’s going on and I hear him say “This way!”

Next thing I know, there is a high school marching band in our office playing “Lowrider”.

They were actually meant to be going to the next office over.

Vote for JT!

Good friend of the RPC, The Gigcasts’ own JT Shea is participating in NPR’s radio contest, and you should all go vote for him!

Harley Quinn by Tim Sale (Commissioned)

Harley by Tim Sale

Brittany’s favorite artist is Tim Sale, and he was once again at Emerald City ComiCon last weekend. When she found out he was going to be doing commissions, her mission was clear; Get her favorite artist to do her favorite character.

Fortunately, she thought to ask ahead, as he requested reference material to do the piece, as Harley Quinn isn’t a character he normally draws. She sought the help of our friend Brandon, who works at Everett Comics and Cards. He was working the store’s booth, and after much searching, found they did not have anything with Harley in it at his table.
Not one to give up on getting cool art that easily, he ended up searching through the comics of other dealers and eventually found a copy of the Harely Quinn comic that came out when the character first became popular through the Batman animated series. Turns out it had exactly what we needed.
So thanks Brandon, for helping us find our needed reference material!

And thanks to Tim Sale for being such a cool guy and an amazing artist.

Emerald City ComiCon: This Weekend!

I just wanted to remind everyone that the whole RPC crew will be at Emerald City ComiCon this weekend.
We will have all kinds of cool stuff for sale (Comics, buttons, original art, posters, etc.) and even a nifty freebie! (3 skull logo stickers!)

So, be sure to stop by our table in the artist’s alley. We’ll be at table #194. You can find a map to the show floor here.

We’ll also have our DS’s on hand and will be accepting all challengers.
